Exploring Your Readiness with Pet Loss.
Are you unsure of exploring your readiness with pet loss? Are you experiencing a rollercoaster ride with your emotions?
Pet loss is a big and challenging event. In fact, the events to follow this experience can be a rollercoaster ride that you may or not prepare for. There are highs and there are lows with your emotions.
Look at the Highs
When you are experiencing the highs of your emotions, you could undergo any of the normal grief feelings at their peak. Or you could be transitioning into another stage of the grief process.
A common thing to do is pay more attention to the highs because they are the “loudest,” “most challenging,” or “most prevalent.”
It can also challenge you to be compassionate to yourself when experiencing the height of your emotional journey.
Don’t Forget to Look at the Lows
You may spend the lows, or quiet times of your ride waiting and they may actually make up most of your days. It really depends where you are at with your journey and what stage you are experiencing.
This is the time for preparation and awareness.
Keep in Mind
These in-between times are anything but uneventful. In fact, they are rich with possibility and filled with opportunities for reflection and preparation.
They give you the chance to have a period in which you can prepare internally and externally for the next peak of the rollercoaster ride that will define a new chapter in your life.
Exploring Your Readiness with Pet Loss
When you find yourself in a quiet time, you may feel guilty to move on. You are tiring of the grief or someone is pressuring you to get on with your life. Any of these can act as triggers and actually force you to experience high emotions.
Whenever you find yourself in such a time of waiting, explore your body, mind, and spiritual readiness. The benefits and results may be just what you need.
Insight for Exploring Your Readiness with Pet Loss
You can view those quiet or low times that happen in your life when experiencing pet loss as being rich with the possibility of what is coming next for your healing process.
